Investment Banking Associate

A global independent investment bank is seeking an Associate to join its TMT M&A team in Berlin.

The firm advises leading technology companies, founders and investors on M&A and capital raising transactions, with particular expertise across software, digital services and consumer technology. The platform combines deep sector knowledge with an international network and a highly entrepreneurial culture.

The Associate will take meaningful ownership of live transactions while working closely with senior bankers and clients across domestic and cross-border mandates.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key workstreams across live M&A transactions from preparation through execution
• Lead financial analysis, valuation and transaction modelling
• Coordinate due diligence processes and interaction with clients, buyers, investors and advisors
• Supervise junior team members and ensure high-quality execution across transaction materials
• Support senior bankers on client development, sector coverage and new business opportunities

Requirements

• Relevant experience in investment banking, M&A or corporate finance, ideally with exposure to technology transactions
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and transaction execution capabilities
• Genuine interest in technology, software and digital business models
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior clients and counterparties
• Professional fluency in German and English
